New marketing management at op5 aims to build brand awareness

Award-winning Swedish software developer op5 AB have launched into 2016 with the introduction of two new Marketing Managers: Maria Alriksson (above, right) as CMO for the entire international team and Whitney Emerick (above, left) as Director of Online Marketing in the Americas.

They will be bringing decades of marketing industry experience to the table and will support the company’s global expansion with the initiation of strategic and tactical activities in op5’s targeted markets. As exciting new additions to the overall op5 Marketing Team, they also offer a unique perspective as women in a technical field.

“I am looking forward to contributing to op5’s continued successful journey. I’ve worked extensively with marketing and brand building both through resellers/partners and directly to end-users, which will be useful in my new role,” said Maria Alriksson. “I always put the customer and customer benefit first, and this will continue to be a focus for me in our current position in the digital marketplace.”

Maria has focused on highly technical-oriented markets over the course of her career, providing her with extensive experience which will prove invaluable in the coming months as she helps to shape the strategy for increased op5 brand recognition.

Joining her in that task is Whitney Emerick, new Director of Online Marketing for op5in the Americas. She brings 25 years of experience within various marketing initiatives and a strong diverse background in strategic planning, product development, and branding portfolio management.

“I enjoy uncovering and strengthening opportunities for revenue growth, increasing market share, and enhancing the corporate identity. My work has given me the privilege of gaining a broad cultural perspective that has been honed through international business opportunities, serving diverse audiences,” said Whitney Emerick. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity of seeing op5 continue to enhance its global footprint as well as within the US with the strength of its international brand.”

Both women stepped into their roles during Q4 of 2015 and have ambitious plans for the company in the near future.
